The stylish new Audi A4 car has been awarded top marks for its Euro NCAP Crash testing presented with a Euro NCAP Advanced Award (Euro NCAP).
Given 5 stars in the award (the highest score) the new Audi A4 has been noticed for Audi’s innovative side assist lane change assistant, with the board unanimously agreeing that the system will support the driver and minimize the risk of crashes.
The Audi system works by two sensors in the rear that take note of any activity at the back of the car while you are driving at of 30 km/h and above. If another vehicle should decide to move into the adjacent lane at a higher speed, an indicator on the outside mirror with flash to warn the driver of this move.
The Head of Vehicle Safety Development at Audi was quoted as saying “safety systems have reduced the number of accidents and their effects” and the award was presented to the new Audi A4 to acknowledge their “approach to increasing convenience and safety with active driver assistance systems.”
