Ford Sat Nav in your rear?

Ford has launched a new Garmin sat-nav system to be installed directly into your car's rear-view mirror. Now when you get lost, you need to take a long hard look in the mirror, quite literally.

The innovative Ford sat-nav will replace your existing rear mirror and was designed and engineered by Garmin and Wollnikom.

Made from an ordinary mirror, 3.5 inch touch display and a 320x240-pixel, it is the perfect accompaniment to any Ford car, including my Ford Ka- Yes! Available to be fitted at most Ford part stores and garages in the UK for around £250, it really is sat nav in your rear...What else did you think I meant?

Glamping The New Camping?

So, my friends were lucky enough to go camping last weekend and I stupidly turned the offer down… Festivals are one thing, but the prospect of an ice cool vino in a nice wine bar far exceeded the thought of a muddy windy field cooking burnt sausages. Boy how I was wrong.

My friends trotted off to Sussex for some Pocahontas themed delights and stayed in a gorgeous Tepee, their alternative to paying over the odds for a Caribbean holiday. Girls will be girls however and they did have a lot of luggage that they needed to take with them for the weekend!

I had told them about my Glastonbury pre-plans for my car and so had already kitted out my beloved Ford Ka to handle the extra weight, so I referred them to the ever-so-helpful online Ford parts store and luckily they had the parts they needed for their Ford Kuga! Alongside the statutory marshmallows, blankets and cushions, they picked up a Ford Roof rack which enable them to also take straighteners, clothes, shoes, bags, you name it. Take a look at the great pics they took, I am so jealous!

Caroline the Ka ready for a makeover!

So, in my quest for looking for a new car, I have decided that I am going to have to do a little work on my old 1996 Ka to ensure I get a maximum price for when I trade it in! I have located a Ford parts store that should sort me out and provide me with all of the bits I need to give Caroline the Ka a grand old makeover!

I have checked out a few bits and their prices and they all seem really reasonable! I am excited about getting to work and as expensive as it may be, it will be well worth it! I have made a list of my choice pieces to be fitted:

1. New Leather Steering Wheel
2. New Floor mats
3. Luggage Compartment Mat
