Volvo is pushing the boundaries with their new model…

Swedish automakers Volvo have released information of a new Volvo car that will rival the likes of Volkswagen small car the Golf.

Focusing on 'functionality and elegance' Volvo are set to go back to their roots with their styling and stay extremely traditional and steer away from the current 'sporty' trend that Volvo is producing like the new Volvo C30.

Based on the all-wheel 'wagon' like thesis, the new Volvo car will not only be functional and powerful but especially stylish and carry an air of sophistication that a BMW would be proud of. Watch this space.

Shares at their highest in two years for Fiat professional…

Fiat Professional's results for the third quarter are being held strong thanks to their sales of professional vehicles such as their range of Fiat vans. With an increase in revenue by 12%, the Italian car manufacturer expects a profit of around 400 million euros for the year making them the sixth biggest car manufacturer in Europe.

Last year, their profit target was hit more than two billion euros above expected and Fiat's hope for sales in their professional vehicles range to carry on increasing after the removal of the scrappage scheme certainly has been exceeded with Fiat shares at their highest in more than two years.

The Fleet scoops up award for Fiat Professional…

The Blades, a top awards ceremony for campaigns in the automotive industry has awarded Fiat Professional with an award for their ‘new approach to marketing’ for their sitcom ‘The Fleet.’

Specialising in the advertisement of Fiat vans, a spokesperson for Fiat was quoted as saying “It was such an innovative step forward for van advertising and we were pleased with the reception it received from customers and the media.”

Aired in March, the Fiat sitcom was created by marketing specialist Krow and follows the trials and tribulations of a guy named Pete, the fleet manager of a company called ‘Lightfoot Logistics.’

Also nominated for an award was Fiat’s live music campaign, the ‘Evo Music Rooms.’

Los Angeles sets the scene for the VW Eos…

OMG, LOL, ROFL… the annoying words uttered by those that have clique like status. Your only cool if you know what they mean and if you don’t, then TTYL, you’ve ‘obvs’ just not got it.

When I first read about the Eos, I racked my brain trying to determine its meaning, and then I took a step back and thought, ‘hey you know what! Maybe there is life other than the world of Paris Hilton’ and realised the Eos was actually a Volkswagen car. D’oh.

The new Volkswagen Eos car will be displayed at the Los Angeles Motor Show this year and it has rather a following already thanks to its great design and superb styling throughout. Fully equipped with horizontal headlights, blacked-out fog lights, grille and an overall sporty feel, the new Volkswagen Eos is up there with the likes of the VW Golf and VW Jetta.Kent Volkswagen dealership Euro Canterbury sell this currently and I adore it every time I drive pass.

I digress. The new Volkswagen car has an innovative keyless entry system that enables you to access the car and start it without the use of a key (handy) and first introduced successfully in the earlier Volkswagen Jetta.

Volkswagen up the Indie…

Volkswagen car manufacturers have long been a supporter of independent film (6 years to be exact) and have decided to go one step further within the indie sector.

Launching the new website SeeFilmDifferently.com, Volkswagen has put themselves at the forefront of showing new adverts, interviews, snippets and latest releases in the independent cinema field.

Using the ‘location’ campaign that is currently riding a wave of success for big name brands such as Facebook and Foursquare, Volkswagen are said to be focusing their attention on “movie locations, kicking off with a series of exclusive screenings” allowing you to “enjoy some classic movies in the places where they were filmed.”

The locations-based map they are going to use will also mean that “you can discover where many iconic movie scenes were shot” and you may even find that you’ve already “unknowingly, been ‘on set!”

I wonder if my Volkswagen dealership Kent is actually a ‘Sex & the City’ set- Hmmmm.

Renault Latitude is the ultimate in luxury…

Launched originally early this year in Moscow, the new Renault Latitude for 2011 has just been debuted also at the Paris Motor Show and is said to be the flagship model for the Renault new car range as well as a top leader in the executive car line.

Available in a range of two engines; a 2.0 litre and a 2.5 litre V6 engine as well as another few to be added to the line-up in further countries.

Not only made-over on the exterior thanks to some heavy styling features, the inside cabin of the new Renault latitude is extremely comfortable and even comes complete with a massage function that would beat any rival masseuse as well as climatic control for the ultimate in luxurious driving.

I have never personally owned a Renault car, but my friend purchased a used Renault Clio, Sussex and has been more than happy with the car and received little to no problems. Ford blush for the month of October….

Last month, I ran 5k for Break through Breast cancer at my local park and successfully rose over £380 for the charity. October is the official Breast cancer Awareness month and everyone will be donning pink to get involved. From Fun runs, to cake sales there is something for everyone in October.

Ford car manufacturers are also getting involved with the month of fundraising and have transformed their headquarters to blush (quite literally) a shade of pink for two nights in the spooky month to salute the survivors of the disease and also honour those that we have lost.

Currently, Ford has donated well over £105,000,000 to the charity and is set on continuing each year with the donations. They have even created a Ford Facebook page for the campaign called ‘Ford Warriors in Pink’ and for every ‘Like’ on the page, Ford will donate $1 to the worthy cause. So go on…. Like away.

I wonder if I drove past my local Ford used car dealer Sussex what I will find as I am aware that they are keen charity donators…

Electric Ford Focus

The Ford Focus is electric with a tailpipe free of emissions version that will go on the market from 2011. Owners of the new Ford Focus will have the ability to charge up its power using a 240V charging station or even through a convenient 120V cord allowing you to charge on the go.

Both forms of charging will be through an industry approved standard five-point plug that is fitted with an “ergonomic Ford-branded handle” equipped for ultimate and durability day to day.

The handle was designed with inspiration drawn from a number of day to day items such as; hockey sticks, curling irons and even a tennis racket handle, developed with manufacturing partner Yazaki.

To re-charge the battery, it will take around 6-8 hours (using the charging station) and around 11 hours for the cord charger that is portable. On this juice, the Ford Focus will be able to deliver 100 miles of driving.

Japanese auto makers Isuzu has come up with the genius idea of an Eco-Advantage Tour highlighting the automotive giants’ reduction of fuel emissions on the 2011 Isuzu Eco-Max commercial vehicle.

The Eco-max truck is the first from Isuzu commercial vehicles to meet the 2010 regulations of the Environmental Protection Agency's so it’s pretty much a big deal.

Five new Lotus models for 2016…

A product explosion if you will- car giants Lotus has promised the launch of five new models by 2016 as well as a new design styling throughout the new Lotus car range to try and end the 15 years of loss accrued over this time.

The Paris Motor Show showed off four of the new Lotus car designs which is hoped will eventually rival the likes of Ferrari and Porsche. CEO of Lotus was quoted as saying their role “as a niche sports car company” is set to change into “a range of premium sports cars” in the next five year plan.

The five Lotus cars (in concept format) were shown in Paris with two set for production stages in 2014.

BSM change up the Fiat 500 mini car to suit the examiners…

One of Britain’s largest driving schools yesterday announced that 3250 of their new Fiat 500 cars are to be scrapped following a series of complaints that the car was far too large for the amount of tiny bodied drivers!

The nippy Fiat 500 car is to be replaced with the Vauxhall Corsa as of March 2011 and the costs incurred will total around £30 million. The Fiat 500, only used for roughly 18 months and replaced by the Vauxhall brand will be no stranger previously used by the driving school for the past 18 years.

Previously recognised as the 'Worlds sexiest car' the Fiat 500 is extremely popular with female drivers yet unpopular with the driving instructors and examiners. For an examiner, they have to take a test every 2-4 years to ensure that they can carry on teaching, in which they have to sit in the rear of a car and observe a following instructor, but unfortunately the backs of the Fiat 500 were proving too small for the examiners, causing the problem.

A spokesperson from BSM was reported as saying they "got a message that the Vauxhall Corsa was the car of preference. We acted on that choice."

Mazda team up with Indie giants for incredible tour of USA...

Car giants Mazda have joined forces with the big players in the US indie scene to create a 32 dates Tour called 'Mayer Hawthorne & the County' that will commence in October starting in Fort Lauderdale and finishing in Los Angeles on November 12th for audiences of up to 1,500 people a time.

Although collaborations with Music artists are common with car manufacturers this is a first time affair for Mazda cars has been backed by a HUGE digital campaign that will feature car and artist video footage shown across all of the social networks such as YouTube, Facebook, Flickr and Twitter, hoping to generate interest through these social channels.

The New mazda2 model will be featured heavily in the new digital campaign which will be shown worldwide causing widespread attention for Mazda Newcastle dealerships to those across the pond in the US of A.

The new Mitsubishi is already electric pre-release...

The all-new Mitsubishi i-MiEV car has been named the 'Electric Car of the Year' at the Green Fleet Awards ceremony in London.

Winning for a second year in a row, the electric vehicle has done extremely well and the marketing director at Mitsubishi Motors was reportedly "delighted" with the win and puts it down to "carrying out an extensive demonstration programme with the i-MiEV this year."

Spacious throughout, with room in the boot for extra luggage as well as room to seat four adults generously, the electric i-MiEV can be charged fully in six hours alone for a cost of just 96p through a UK three-pin socket.

The popularity of the electric vehicle is already apparent with orders already piling up for the new Mitsubishi in Newcastle dealerships. Deliveries will commence as of January 2011. Cannot wait!

Lotus get high on the letter 'E'

The 2010 Paris motor Show saw British car manufacturer Lotus debut a new range of Lotus cars that included a total of 5 coupes and sedan models soon to go into production.

True to form, the new Lotus cars all feature a nickname starting with the letter E, after all why break the tradition. The five new Lotus cars are called; Elan, Eterne, Elise, Elite and Esprit.

Revealed at the Parisian show was the new Lotus City Car Concept (see picture above). What do you think? A unique sported-up lotus or a car for the masses?

The Fiat Doblo Cargo cleans up at Awards...

The Fiat Doblo Cargo has recently scooped the award for Fleet van of the year at the annually held Fleet Van Awards.

The Fiat commercial vehicle has was given the award thanks to its incredibly useful key features such as buckets of space, economy, brand of quality and the support of Fiat in their Fiat aftersales department.

Cleaning up at the awards, the Fiat commercial vehicle was also awarded the 'Best small van of the Year award' as well an award at the International Van of the Year 2011 award.

The director of Fiat professional UK was quoted at the ceremony as saying "Fiat has had a phenomenal amount of interest" in their vehicles of late and with the Fiat Doblo Cargo recognised for its superb qualities, it is great news for the brand reputation.

The Fiat Doblo Cargo great for its amount of space throughout is the ultimate moving van and will come in especially handy when my aunt moves next month. Our local Fiat professional leasing company has some great deals on using Fiat vans for short periods, so I will be popping in to visit the Fiat Vans in Kent to book us in!

Ring Ring... Oh it's my phone; no it's my car...

Car manufacturer Ford has a new proposal to re-design the dashboard of their new Ford cars in the form of a mobile phone, yes. Mobile phone!

Collaborating with a design firm named 'Ideo' they have put together a new design proposal based on the extremely successful ipod and TV remote design.

The new dashboard layout will feature a controller with central button on the steering wheel with five points, easily operated by the driver’s hands whilst they drive, not distracting them from the drive.

There is also a screen in the main central display that will be eight inches of colours; yellow for the phone display, green for navigating the car, blue for operating the climatic control and red for all of the entertainment features.

Although not in the production stages and not currently available at my Ford Sussex retailer, the new look dashboards for new Ford cars are set to be an innovative new feature in the design and automotive world not to be missed.

Mazda holds big hopes for 2012...

Car manufacturer Mazda are set to release a newly designed mazda5 for 2012.

Unveiled this year at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland, the all new mazda5 boasts a sportier exterior complete with a face like grille and accent lines along either side.

Set to debut to a US market in November of this year at the Los Angeles Auto show, the new Mazda5 model is available to preview earlier on the official Mazda blog.

Although officials at Mazda have been pretty tight lipped about what is coming up, the new Mazda car is said to feature a powerful 2.5 litre four cylinder engine that is currently available in the mazda3 car.

I can’t wait to see the new mazda5 design and give it a spin. I am hoping that my local Mazda dealer near Kent that guarantee cheap cars Kent will be displaying the new Mazda5 range soon as I will be first on that forecourt!

Vauxhall rule Britannia...

It appears that British car manufacturers Vauxhall have scored a hat-trick with their cars of late with the Vauxhall Corsa becoming the top selling car for September reaching over 14,000 sales in total.

The affordability, fuel economy and lowered fuel emissions have all come together to form what is a very respectable car to own and cheap to run with the new Vauxhall Corsa ecoFLEX model qualifying for the lowered road tax at an astonishingly low £35 per year- Bonus!

Out of the ebst selling cars for the month of September, Vauxhall also featured for two other cars- the Vauxhall Astra and the Vauxhall Astra range with sales generated well over 12,000 in both the retail and fleet sectors- not just a pretty face!

On my trip up North I may also need to check in at the used cars in Cumbria delarship to test drive a Used Vauxhall Corsa, Cumbria won't know what's him them!

Annual trip Up t'north is guaranteed to kill three birds right?

With the majority of my family living up t’North in Cheshire and Wigan I rarely get to see them as much as I would have hoped and therefore every year we have an annual road trip to see them, exchange Christmas gifts and have a general good old northern party.

This year sees the introduction of my partner to my (very brash, opinionated and not afraid of saying what they think) northern relatives and to say he is nervous is quite an understatement. But although they are not backwards in coming forwards, they are fantastic people and I love these honest qualities about them as you always know where you stand and with incredibly frank personality traits you also get a warm kind heart.

We are going to all pile into my dad’s Luxury BMW car, Cumbria being our first stop of the day. An old friend of mine Vanessa moved to Cumbria when I was in my early teenage years but like all good friends do we have stayed in contact and I am making an impromptu visit to see her at her Horse=-riding school in Cumbria to say hello and have a good old girly catch up!

Of course, being a woman and having the ability to multi-task, I am going to try and set a new record of killing ‘three birds with one stone’ and call into a luxury used car dealership in Cumbria on the way back to the relatives, just for a gentle look- it can’t hurt can it?

I am very interested in a stylish Audi A4 Avant in Cumbria that I saw on the used cars in Cumbria website that I am hoping will still be available to test drive as well as a Mercedes C Class in Cumbria that my Mum has now been ogling. I can’t think where I get it from?

Renault making sweet music with new model Zoe…

The official new Renault ZOE model, electric and unique debuted in Paris this month amidst a crowd of adoring and eager fans awaiting its release in 2012.

Electric powered, the new ZOE car features a battery and compact motor powered engine complete with optimisation assistance and range management fitted as standard.

Inside the new Renault car you will also find a multitude of key comfort features including climatic control, toxicity sensors, a scent diffuser as well as therapeutic light therapy thanks to the display monitor in the centre console of the car.

With top speeds of 161 km and the ability to reach 0-100 km/h in 8.1 seconds on one charge alone, the new Renault ZOE is completely capable and fully adaptable to any driving need.

A charge of battery (to its capacity) will take around 6-8 hours and can be connected via a wall-box or alternatively an Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment. Renault Servicing and repairs are also said to be extremely affordable in the new Renault ZOE which is re-assuring as well as comforting on your wallet.

The new Skoda Fabia will be a Skoda Fabia RS version of the model and have incredibly powerful credentials and has quite the following already with word on the street that the new Fabia car is a speedy version of the Skoda Octavia RS that car enthusiast can’t wait to have in their clutches.

A new greener, leaner Kia model is coming our way for 2011…

Top manufacturer Kia Cars has released information of two new Kia cars due for 2011 that will be extremely ‘green’ and leave a significantly lighter footprint in the environment with fuel emissions of 100g/km or less.

The new models will include an all-new Kia Picanto model that will be available in both 3 and 5 door versions that emit as low as 95g/km C02 emissions as well as a new Kia Rio model that will have even lower emissions of 85 g/km- pretty good huh!

Ford Focus on top of its game- but will it win the race?

The Amazing Race, top reality TV show hits our screens (and internet) very soon and the makers of the hit Television show are creating a new online reality show that will heavily feature new Ford cars, namely the new Ford Focus car.

With the hope to boost sales of the smaller car, the new online reality show will be shown over a five week period and streamed via www.Hulu.com.

The snappy new 2012 Ford Focus compact model is sure to show the ‘wow’ factor, with a rush on at Ford Focus retailers across the UK expected. My Ford retailer in Sussex currently stocks the Ford Focus car for 2012 as well as a fully stocked online Ford parts shop that caters for every eventuality with a wide range of Ford Focus accessories on sale.

I know I keep saying this, but I really must go see the car and take a little test drive, as that number one car still hasn’t popped up for me.. *sigh*

Side Assist secures win for Audi

The stylish new Audi A4 car has been awarded top marks for its Euro NCAP Crash testing presented with a Euro NCAP Advanced Award (Euro NCAP).

Given 5 stars in the award (the highest score) the new Audi A4 has been noticed for Audi’s innovative side assist lane change assistant, with the board unanimously agreeing that the system will support the driver and minimize the risk of crashes.

The Audi system works by two sensors in the rear that take note of any activity at the back of the car while you are driving at of 30 km/h and above. If another vehicle should decide to move into the adjacent lane at a higher speed, an indicator on the outside mirror with flash to warn the driver of this move.

The Head of Vehicle Safety Development at Audi was quoted as saying “safety systems have reduced the number of accidents and their effects” and the award was presented to the new Audi A4 to acknowledge their “approach to increasing convenience and safety with active driver assistance systems.”

The all new E-tron Audi Spyder unveiled in Paris…

The debut of the new Audi Spyder E-tron took place In Paris this month complete with an engine mid-mounted V6 TDI which is built on a TDI-electric combo guaranteeing intense power and the ability to reach speeds of 0-100 in a mere 4.4 seconds.

Extremely futuristic in its looks, the new Audi car is highly technical and extremely fuel efficient with an average fuel consumption of 2.2 L/100km. In the concept stages currently, the new Audi Spyder is set to offer a slice of the future of motoring…

Audi go down under with their new campaign…

The latest advertising campaign from Audi is said to feature ‘Audi rings’ under landmarks across the world, such as Sydney Harbour Bride, London Bridge etc. etc.

Called the ‘Audi Spectacle’, Audi is hoping to take the campaign up a gear to a whole new level- quite literally.

In the approval passes for the campaign to go ahead, it is sure to go down in the history books for Audi and new Audi cars are sure to fly out of Audi showrooms across the country.

Mazda co-ordinate with TomTom…Quite literally.

Technology innovators ‘TomTom’ has announced that they will team up with Mazda to supply navigation systems that will be built into the dash of new Mazda cars.

The new dashboard fitted into the new Mazda5 cars will have LIVE services as well as top of the range hands-free dialling, Bluetooth connections, MP3 compatibility and even a rear view camera fitted as standard.

The next generation Ford Focus…

We are to be prepared for the new Ford Focus for early 2011 that will be shown at the Paris Motor Show this year.

This flagship model will take the main stage at the Parisian based show and will be part of an all-star lineup that includes three dynamic versions; an incredibly sporty five door Ford Focus version, a sophisticated four-door Ford Focus model and a fashionable Ford Focus wagon.

Giving a snapshot of what is to come, the new Ford Focus will go on sale in Europe next year, but for now they will tease us until then…

Audi Introduce Q7 Quattro- Made over

The new Audi Q7 has been launched in India to be available as of January 2011.

The all-new Audi car is hoped to ‘consolidate the leadership position in the luxury SUV’ category, the Head of Audi India was quoted as saying.

The new style vehicle will use ‘TFSI’ technology that ensures supercharged power that is as much powerful as it is efficient; the perfect combination.

Also equipped with an 8-speed automatic engine, fuel consumption would be kept to a minimum, saving you money but delivering you the results you need, when you need it.

Fiat joins forces with tyre Group for safer driving…

‘TyreSafe’ the leading tyres safety organization in the UK launches their Tyre Safety campaign tomorrow for the month of October.

The Fiat Group has joined forces with the Tyre Group to help promote safer driving pushing up the figures of Car manufacturer supporters to a whopping 10!

Promoting the importance of keeping your tyres in correct working order, Fiat brands; Fiat Professional, Fiat, Abarth and Alfa Romeo will be offering free safety checks on tyres at Fiat dealerships across the country, including my local Fiat Dealership in Ashford.

Sales Manager for Fiat Group in the UK was quoted as saying their ‘emphasis was on improving safety and educating drivers’ and this can be done through the partnership with TyreSafe and the introduction of free tyre checks.

Zoom Zoom is SKY high at Mazda…

The Paris Motor Show has been the stage for the debut of a number of new vehicles for 2011 including the new range of new Mazda cars such as the Mazda2, Mazda3 Diesel, Mazda5 Diesel as well as the Mazda SKY concept.

The new Mazda2 car has undergone a radical facelift with some welcome updates to the car originally released back in 2008.

The new Mazda5 will be shown in Paris alongside the new Mazda3 Diesel version which both feature reduced C02 emissions and improved fuel economy in accordance with the Euro 5 guidelines.

The Mazda SKY concept will be unveiled in Paris featuring all-new eco-friendly technology systems that will be rolled out into new Mazda cars in the very near future it is hoped. Emissions are set to be reduced by nearly 30% by the year of 2015 through the use of the Mazda SKY-G and Mazda SKY-D engines (petrol and diesel options).

It has been promised however that the reduction of C02 emissions will NOT take the fun out of Mazda Driving and the ‘Zoom Zoom’ effect will be every bit as relevant. The Mazda SKY-Drive is also seeing its introduction at the Parisian motor show to show off its new six speed transmission proven to deliver smoother driving on all surfaces.

Pandora opens up a new box for Ford…

Car giant Ford Car Company has unveiled a new partnership with Pandora jewellery line in which they will deliver music content via sharing playlists.

With help from recording legends jewel and John legend, the duo will donate to charities of the artist’s choice promoted through Pandora’s social share function.

This new age digital marketing is not the first time they have joined forces with the two streaming a radio service through Ford’s in-car Sync technology seen earlier this year in new Ford cars. US Director of communications for Ford Motor Co has said of the partnership “we're able to support niche programs that audiences truly enjoy” thus allowing Ford to wisely spend their money as opposed to viral bombarding of adverts and banners for only 30 second slots.

POP art in motion…

The new ‘POP’ is another electric vehicle to come out of Korean car manufacturer Kia which will debut at the Paris Motor Show this year.

The futuristic new dashboard mounted in the new Kia POP car has a rising panel that allows you to gage your speed and charge power whilst driving, making driving extremely simplistic and takes the pressure off.

The display, made by top technology experts Samsung and LG is positively one-off with other MP3 players and tuners available at present, yet nothing quite so cutting edge, allowing you to be at the forefront of technology.

The battery powered engine can be charged fully in six hours made out of lithium polymer gel that is extremely efficient, so even on longer journeys you needn’t worry. With a top speed of 88 mph, it may not be incredibly speedy, but for an electric motor Kia car I am pretty impressed…

Skoda is electric…

Car manufacturer Skoda has come up with a new electric car for the 21st century…

The all-new Skoda Octavia Green E Line range is being shown at the Paris motor Show this month and is based on the previous Skoda Octavia estate model but updated with an electric motor capable of 0-62 mph in just 12 seconds and a top speed of 114 bhp.

Part of a long list of electric cars that have been released over the past year, the Skoda Green E Line range is currently in the testing stages with a view to go into production in the near future after “obtaining additional information relevant to the further development of the electric drive"

The Lotus Elise breaks new ground in Paris…

The first Parisian show ‘Le Mondial de l’Automobile’ for 2010 is set to reveal the all-new Lotus Elise concept car to be available from 2014 onwards.

The 2014 new Lotus Elite car is at the very cutting edge of technology and innovation from car manufacturers Lotus offering a new vehicle that is both performance based (with comparison drawn to the Lotus Gran Turismo) as well as the practical and fully functional qualities of a hybrid car.

With an extremely powerful engine inside the new Lotus Elise that is a 5.0 litre, V8 powerhouse, you are able to reach 100 km/h in only four seconds. With a rumoured price of around £115,000, it may not be cheap but you get a whole lot of Lotus for your money.

Volkswagen gets Fox-xy!

Fiat Abarth are hot stuff right now…

Relationships between car manufacturers seem to grow and grow every year and Fiat’s collaboration with Abarth is no different.

Recently, Fiat and Abarth has produced a conversion kit for the new Fiat 500 car that was so successful they have now gone one step further and produced a piece of conversion kit that fits the Fiat 500C Abarth as well as the Fiat Punto Evo Abarth called the Fiat Esseesse.

Thanks to this new piece of kit, the new Fiat 500 Abarth car has gone from miniature to extremely powerful in a flash with a power capability of 0-100km/h in less than 8 seconds and top speeds of 216km/h.

Ford Go Pink in support of Breast Cancer Month

Car giants Ford are supporting Breast cancer for the month of October by turning the Ford headquarters bright pink for two nights!

The headquarters in Dearborn will turn pink as of the 30th September with Marketing Manager of Ford John Felice hosting a ceremony to mark the occasion and show everything it stands for.

Ford will also be selling a line of clothing in aid of the charitable cause on the Ford website with 100% profits going to the charity to help prevention and treatment of the disease.

For the past 16 years, Ford Cars has supported the charity and donated well over $105 million to the cause. Here Here Ford.

Toyota confirms plans for an all-new Toyota IQ model for the US…

The compact Toyota IQ vehicle is said to be racing its way to the US shores for 2011 and those keen to taste the sporty goods can sample the new model at the Motor Show in Paris later this year.

Changes made to the new Toyota IQ include interior and exterior amends to the style and also engine power, with improved fuel economy and reduced C02 emissions to boot.

The Toyota IQ will home a 1.3 litre engine with a 90 horsepower output and is matched to that of a CVT engine, but to the rest of Europe it will be available in a 1.0 and slightly more powerful 1.3 litre version paired with a manual transmission box.

Inside the cabin of the new Toyota IQ you will find upgrades to the upholstery such as soft-touch leather and red stitching throughout giving you the option to personalise your drive to suit your personality using different colours and styles.

I cannot wait for the new Toyota car to hit the Toyota dealership in Newcastle that my friend recently recommended to me as her number one choice for new Toyota cars in Gateshead!

Stylish new Audi A1 whispering sweet nothings in Paris…

The all-new Audi car A1 is set to be shown at the Parisian Motor Show this month according to whispers from the German automaker’s camp.

The superbly stylish Audi A1 is the new ‘supermini’ set to create a storm of success thanks to its extreme capabilities of 0-62mph on just seven seconds as well as a top speed capability of 141mph.

Fuel consumption is at an awesome level for its performance skills and fuel emissions are kept respectably low at 139g/km of C02.

Stylish throughout, the new Audi A1 features 17 inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity all enjoyed through exclusive leather upholstered seats.

Available on a number of trims much alike to the S-Line variation currently available, the Audi A1 will possess seven speed S-Tronic transmission and a twin clutch for ultimate performance ranges.

No price has yet to be disclosed, but I feel it will be placed in the same bracket as the S Line vehicle. Not long to wait however with the Audi A1 available from late 2010 to the rest of the UK…

Fiat 500- If it aint’ broken, why fix it?

Designers at Motor house Fiat has been in talks regarding the new design format for the infamous Fiat 500 and which direction they wish to take it in.

The car which has proved extremely successful is about to go on the market in the US of A as well as Mexico of which it was subject to a few minor modifications.

Designers at Fiat are however slightly hesitant to make any more changes to the new Fiat 500 car due to its ‘supermini’ status within the Fiat family tree, indicating that the shape and size will stay the same.

First launched in 2007, the new Fiat 500 superseded the original model 50 years previously and went on sale in the UK a year later in 2008.

Legendary for its shape and size the new Fiat 500 has proved extremely popular at Fiat dealerships across the UK, including my local Fiat dealership in Kent that specialises in leasing Fiat cars. I may just have to stop by on my way home from work and take a closer look…

Ford reports 60% of early 2011 Fiesta sales are hatchbacks…

According to a recent statement from car giant Ford, the hatchback is officially back in the US! The latest figures released detail a massive 60% of Ford Fiesta sales so far have been for the four-door hatchback, compared to 8.3% in 2009.

A sales analyst for Ford, George Pipas was quoted as saying ‘American car buyers have grown accustomed to the convenience of hatch body styles after years of owning S.U.V.’s and crossovers’ and this seems to be the way with a big proportion of the 60% made up of young drivers enticed by the European hatchback offerings.

Not only taking off for the Ford Fiesta, the new Ford Focus is also going to be available in a hatchback format in the states alongside the four-door sedan model readily available. This new vehicle will be showcased at the Paris Motor Show this year.

Ford has also reported a change in trend with car buyers choosing to personalise their vehicles and load up with options such as interior trim upgrades to luxurious leather upholstery and innovative technology systems for both convenience and style.

As I was saying earlier, I am quite keen to purchase another Ford car as my first car was a new ford ka Sussex and it has lasted me extremely well- 10 years well to be exact. I have been have a little look online at what is currently available and I have seen a few choice models that I would be keen to test drive including a ‘nearly new’ used ford fiesta Sussex as well as a new ford focus west Sussex.

Ford up top in recent poll for cars that hold their value…

In a recent poll of cars that hold their value best, car manufacturer Ford has come up trumps holding up the top 8 places with the Ford Fiesta and Ford Focus car.

Proving particularly popular was the Ford Fiesta car, according to British consumers, so it is no wonder that the Ford Fiesta was the top selling car of 2009.

I am still looking for a new Ford car in Kent and am quite interested in both the Ford Fiesta and the new Ford Focus, which I have seen at my local Ford dealership in Kent. My friend has a 2008 Ford Focus which he says is extremely economic and cost efficient when its servicing is needed and the Ford Focus parts are also extremely affordable to buy.

It was his birthday recently and his partner decided to buy him Ford accessories for his Ford Focus as his present and chose an illuminated gear knob as the present of choice.

The recent poll has shown that the top ten cars with a great re-sale value have real potential for those looking for a new car as it offers re-assurance the vehicle will hold value much further than a dealership.

Duel clutch dreams for the Alfa Romeo MiTo

Alfa Romeo is set to debut an all new duel-clutch version of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta and MiTo hatchback known as a TCT clutch at the Paris Motor Show this year.

The all new Alfa Romeo MiTo model featuring the new TCT clutch format will be available on the 1.4L Multiair engine to be then rolled out onto the 2.0L diesel engine that will emit 168 horsepower and cut down on its fuel emissions.

Reduced C02 emissions are thanks to a new Start-Stop system that will ensure that when you are not moving the engine is off, therefore not emitting any unnecessary fumes into our atmosphere. The 2.0L version of the new Alfa Romeo MiTo will have a power torque of 258 lb-ft and a combined fuel economy of 62 mpg. Impressive stuff I am sure you will agree.

I have not yet seen any of the Alfa Romeo MiTo cars maidstone and they are not yet available at Alfa Romeo dealerships in Kent, I am eager to test drive this little beauty and see if it lives up to its reputation….

Renault teams up with Miss Sixty to produce the ultimate Dreamkar for girls!

Not one to follow another’s lead, Renault has decided to conquer another area of partnerships and team up with Italian fashion house Miss Sixty.

The ϋber fashionable Miss Sixty has lent their ultra-trendy services in designing a new version of the supermini the Renault Twingo model the Renault Twingo Miss Sixty.

Available in two colours, Pearlescent black and Bohemian Pink, the new Renault model will be shown at the Paris Motor Show this month. The interior will be undeniably girly, with pink touches everywhere- on the speedometer, steering wheel and overall trim.

With Miss Sixty stitching also throughout it is extremely stylish and caters for every woman’s needs. Sure to create a whirlwind of excitement when it is debuted in the French capital, the new Renault Twingo is rumoured to be available as of November.

The new Ford Fiesta has launched the new Ford Fiesta iPad application giving potential new buyers the opportunity to get a mountain of information about the car before you buy it and whilst you are on the move.

Call it an online sales brochure that moves with you; even if you are not looking for a new Ford Fiesta car this will probably give you the incentive to start looking.

With everything now available on the iPad from Starbucks coffee ingredients to your nearest local Ford dealership in Kent, it seems more than natural for all of its sales to also go that way. Why else would the sales of iPod’s be rising? It is the smaller interactive version of a computer and the world is embracing it with open arms…..and wallets.

With such powerful credentials you would expect to be leaving large footprints in your size four stilettos on the environment, but you would be wrong. Subaru gets an STI.....and not the type you're thinking!

Car giants Subaru are rumoured to be releasing the new look Subaru Forester, a super-charged STI version that is ultra-sporty and packs a mean performance.

The already turbocharged Subaru Forester model currently on the market has 322 horsepower, stronger than any similar competitor, so the Subaru Forester STI is set to achieve results. Above the Toyota RAV4 as well as the Mazda CX-7, Subaru means business.

Although Subaru won’t confirm anything at present, it is except that the new Subaru car will go global!

The prominent fashion partnership for both London and New York Fashion Week, Mercedes-Benz has got some stiff competition in the form of car giants Audi.

Keen to break into Japan, Audi has created a fashion week in Singapore aptly called Audi Fashion Festival which is the perfect showcase of the new Audi car range as well as all of Japan's hot new design talent.

The ideal date for both women and men, the new Audi R8 is on show and keeping the men more than occupied...

La Ford Focus est belle!

Paris is a Ford playground with the introduction of the new Ford Focus ST. The number one attraction in a long list of extremely desirable Ford cars, on show at the Paris Motor Show in September.

A premier of the model if you may, the new Ford Focus RS is the flagship vehicle for the range of performance based models set for release in 2012.

The flashy new Ford Focus model boasts an updated version of the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder Ford EcoBoost engine and is certainly the car for those that have a need for speed and enjoy a soundtrack to their speed in the form of a growling 4-cylinder power plant engine.

I am so eager to see the new Ford Focus at my local new ford dealership, but unfortunately I am going to have to wait until 2012. Until then, the used ford dealer Sussex is only a short drive away and stocks a huge range of fantastic Ford Focus models.

The Kia Soul gets an injection of sex-appeal…

The new Kia Soul commercial is a real turn up for the books. Gone are the comedy hamsters that are asking if 'they can kick it' replaced with the sexy golf professional Michelle Wie.

At 6'1" and 20 years of age, the golfer is talented, fresh and confident, the embodiment of the new KIA Soul car. Available at my nearest Sussex KIA dealership, the car looks pretty hot on the forecourt that is for sure.

The new shape Kia Soul is fantastically suitable for women drivers that are looking for a fun, yet girly car that certainly delivers performance when you need it most.

Although KIA in Eastbourne around an hour’s drive to get to, with a sexy promotional girl like that, I am almost positive my boyfriend will be all but happy to join me on the journey!!

I know what you are thinking… A section in the lonely hearts column? No, this is in fact a plea on behalf of my Aunty MoMo who is looking for a new Swift in Sussex.

Unfortunately she has been rather ill over the years and therefore qualifies for such schemes as Motability, Sussex dealerships that I have researched on the net seem to offer this including one dealership I found online selling Worthing Suzuki cars.

The Suzuki Swift is relatively new out, but promises reliability in its performance whilst retaining its ‘fun factor’ perfect for my fun-loving Aunty. Just like the swift, she is the most fun to be around and always there for me when I need her most.

I feel some more car shopping coming on!!

Mazda 6th hits the big time with 6 figures…

Nine years on from its original production, the new mazda6 has hit its two-millionth car manufactured making it the second fastest Mazda car sold of all-time, the first being the Mazda3.

The first Mazda3 was manufactured at the Hofu Plant No. 2 in Yamaguchi prefecture; Japan and the plant are since enjoying celebrating the milestone that is the 2,000,000 car in production.

The new generation Mazda6 was launched in 2007 was spurred on by the previous Mazda6 when it hit 1,000,000 in 2006 safe in the knowledge that the second million would be close behind.

The executive officer in charge of R&D and Program Management at Mazda Cars was quoted as saying 'I still have a special fondness for this terrific car' and he is extremely 'grateful to the two million-plus customers around the world who have purchased a Mazda6.'

The Ford S-Max is better than any computer game you’ve ever played?

Car manufacturer Ford has come up with a life-like new 3-D marketing campaign for the Ford S-Max. Using life like 3-D projections to showcase the Ford S-Max and its many advanced technologies Ford seem to have hit the nail on the head with this one.

The campaign to be displayed outdoors will be debuted in September 2010 and will be made up of two integrated sequences including a theatrical film followed by various laser sequences shown on iconic building dotted around the UK.

The buildings used for the outdoor campaigns appeared to freeze over and then an ice-climber would scale the wall using objects to cut away sections of the ice from the wall much alike to a video game.

Ford is at the top of the UK’s engine exports...

Major car manufacturer Ford has been praised for its efforts in increasing exports of its engines engineered in the UK. Showing the value of the brand to the country and its manufacturing sector, Ford seems to be out on top.

The UK built Ford parts engines now power all of Fords European cars including Ford Fiesta parts and the manufacturing work is carried out by around 15,000 UK workers and exported to over 15 European countries.

Cited as an ‘amazing achievement for the UK’ Ford now builds around one third of the countries cars, proving a great example of top class manufacturing in the UK. The chairman of Ford in the UK was quoted as saying ‘Britain's manufacturing sector can power the economy to a sustainable recovery’ which is an amazing (yet pressured) statement for Ford. Well done guys!

Ford has launched a new Garmin sat-nav system to be installed directly into your car's rear-view mirror. Now when you get lost, you need to take a long hard look in the mirror, quite literally.

The innovative Ford sat-nav will replace your existing rear mirror and was designed and engineered by Garmin and Wollnikom.

Made from an ordinary mirror, 3.5 inch touch display and a 320x240-pixel, it is the perfect accompaniment to any Ford car, including my Ford Ka- Yes! Available to be fitted at most Ford part stores and garages in the UK for around £250, it really is sat nav in your rear...What else did you think I meant?

Katy Perry flashes at BMW...

Gorgeous Pop star Katy Perry donned a futuristic Marilyn Monroe wig for a spot of filming at BMW World in Munich recently.

The pop star became "Future Girl" for the filming for the German TV station next to the BMW melt, to add to the futuristic 2050 feel. Filming took place over a total of two days and was completely successful and the partnership not only publicised the pop icon but the ultra-successful BMW car manufacturer also.

With over 2,000,000 visitors to the BMW Welt made up of the BMW Museum and the BMW factory, BMW is hugely popular across the globe.

BMW has continuously partnered up with big name brands, such as famous icons of pop culture, to promote new stock. The BMW 3 series has done extremely well, accounting for nearly 40% of the company's car sales in 2005.

I recently made a trip up north to see some friends I met when I was travelling and found a beautiful BMW 3 Series Barrow in Furness in fantastic quality. It really got me thinking about my options and my career, would I use the BMW 3 Series enough and more importantly could I afford it?

A New Audi R8 that I CAN afford for the boy?

My boyfriend is turning 27 this year and I would like to buy him something pretty special... We've done the whole clothes thing and to be quite honest if I buy him more it only means one thing- more ironing so, this year I endeavour to buy him something different.

I found a company that specialise in Audi R8 driving experiences which I know he would love. He has a passion for sports cars but unfortunately his wages could not permit him to purchase one, so this would be the next best thing.

The incredibly sporty new Audi R8, with fantastic handling and crazy fast speeds (an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds) a pretty mean foot is it not! The all-wheel drive performance car has the power to push you back into your seat as soon as you switch it on and this would more than fulfil my other half's need for speed!

Once his initial training is completed with a qualified Audi car instructor, he will have free reign to lap the car around the track and experience its capabilities at full throttle!

England World Cup 2018 supported by Jaguar Land Rover

Jaguar Land Rover has put themselves forward as supporters of England’s 2018 Football World.

The aim will be to supply the cars in support of the World Cup, including the Discovery 4, the Jaguar XJs and the Jaguar XFs as their main form of domestic to business transport.

Exciting move, probably not exactly at the top of Wayne’s list right now!

i-MieEV electric car by Mitsubishi now extremely affordable….

The new Mitsubishi i-MiEV vehicle is now available at around £23,000 thanks to a slash in price once the Government’s low carbon vehicle incentive is introduced early in 2011.

The electric vehicle, which is extremely efficient and environmentally friendly and since their release on the roads of Japan in July this year, sales have taken off.

Deliveries of the Mitsubishi electric car will has been available to trial in parts of the UK such as Birmingham and Coventry, where the average daily users' mileage was just 23 miles, well under the 90 mile range that the car permits.

The Japanese manufacturer also claims that the i-MiEV car will only cost around £144 in fuel for around 12,000 miles of driving. Not bad going at all and surprisingly efficient for a Government incentive!

Social media creates Whirlwind for the Renault Wind...

French car manufacturer's Renault has created a giant user-generated content campaign to launch its Renault Wind model on a grand scale. The use of social media has grown and grown, from its initial Facebook campaign used to promote the Renault Twingo to young people back in April, with Renault now investing a large amount of money in its online uses.

The Renault campaign which lasts 12 seconds, is a 'Strip campaign' that encourages people to remove all clothing except from one single layer in less than 12 seconds, the time it would take to open the roof on a Renault Wind Roadster vehicle.
Those uploading their campaign strips online have the chance to win one of the new cars, that retail at around £17,000.

Running until the 30th September, it is a fantastic way of Renault truly engaging with their customers through the ever expanding social media platform.

Renault cars are particularly attractive, especially the Renault Wind that my friend has just purchased from her local Renault Centre in Worthing. Although initially quite pricey, they are fantastic cars to maintain with exceptional prices for Renault Servicing and maintenance. My quest for a new car continues and who knows, I may just end up stripping my way to success!

Lisa Snowden models her way to victory in the driving stakes…

38 years old former model Lisa Snowden has passed her driving test after passing first time with only 3 minor faults! Elated, the model who formerly presented Britain’s next Top Model was said to be ‘so happy’ after the test but claimed to be ‘really nervous during the test.’

Feeling incredibly proud, Lisa was learning with well-known driving school BSM and has only been learning for four months so she has picked up all of her skills unbelievably quickly! Although Lisa has confessed that her biggest fault is getting distracted by gorgeous men walking down the streets, haven’t we all been there.

Lisa’s task now is to buy herself a new car to show off her top quality driving skills and her car of choice would be a Range Rover or an Audi, but says she will probably go for something greener and environmentally friendly like a Toyota Prius. To pass her test however Lisa drive a 1.2 litre Fiat 500 and she thoroughly enjoyed driving this model as it was extremely comfortable and adapted to her driving style.

Her driving instructor also taught celebrity students such as Sienna Miller and Kate Moss as well as the late Fashion Icon Alexander McQueen, Wowzers!
