How to buy a car online?

If you are anything like me, you will need some serious help when it comes to buying a car online. I unfortunately know very little on the technical side of things and more on the aesthetics. I will judge on whether something looks nice rather than if it functions correctly and that is where I need the helping hand...

First things first, look at the sites themselves. Research is key when locating safe, secure sites that are not going to scam you. I think being comfortable with a site is a priority when you are potentially spending a substantial amount of money on it. I found a great used car supermarket that has loads of tools to help you find your Dream Kar. You can chat live to a sales person and even calculate your fuel emissions and expected running costs- What more could you want!!

Secondly, make sure you know the type of car you want. Researching the vehicle will make you more equipped at spotting the bargains and make you generally more assertive. If you are unsure of the spec of the model or what the ‘best’ price is, there are many online sites that can help you with your research. A number of sites that I found on the web featured used car reviews.

Finally, there will be some negotiation that will be involved. To most people, they feel more comfortable with this as they do not have the pressure of speaking directly, face to face. This allows a lot of people to be more free with their monetary choices and go for a price they feel most comfortable with.

With a mixture of all three ingredients, I feel that you should be most equipped at buying a new/used car online.

When I bought my used Ford KA on my 17th Birthday, I sought advice from the web which helped me find my perfect match. Preparation is essential in such a decision, after all who wants a ‘pretty’ car that conks out after ten miles!
