Ford Focus Electric- Do you have a spare charger?

2011 is set to see the new Ford Focus Electric go on sale charged by a lithium-ion battery pack. The new Ford Focus Electric is based on the Focus Sedan and hatchback and the electric car has been debuted at Detroit’s Auto Show this year to an eagerly awaiting audience.

Set for release in the latter stages of 2011, it is said to be able to run 100 miles per each full charge of battery! The battery will be built in by electrical giants LG Chem initially in Korea, moving through to Michigan in the US.

All going to plan, this will pave the way for two new hybrid cars in 2012 running on the similar Ford Focus battery platform. I cannot wait to charge up something other than a phone!
