Set against a trendy East London backdrop, Vauxhall are showcasing three new exclusive models in line with the re-opening of their original bowling club that they started in 1905. Snuggled into Brick Lane amongst the hustle and bustle of Spitalfields, the Vauxhall bowling Club has undergone a makeover to bring it into 2010 and much more. The Bowling Club is said to be designed in a psychedelic theme, with multi-coloured artwork adorning its walls and blooming English flowers surrounding it.
With celebrity interest in the form of T4 presenter Rick Edwards and DJ/ Actor Matt Horne, it is said to be an indie affair that will attract a multitude of fans from across the country. Three specially designed Vauxhall cars will be the main attraction of the day with jazz artist turned illustrator Jamie Cullum’s version of the Vauxhall Astra as well as two other funky designs for all to marvel.
Attendees on the day are said to include hipsters Kate Moss, Si Scott and Tansy Hamley to name a few. Vauxhall never afraid to shy away from the creative and slightly out there collaborations have in the past worked with the likes of top British fashion designers as well as Artistic duo Jiggery Pokery. All this trendy talk has got me quite interested in a Vauxhall as a contender for my coveted new car role. I may have to go and see the Used Vauxhall in Cardiff that I saw yesterday online….. After all, if it’s hip enough for Gav, it’s hip enough for me!
